Lucie and Grants Cain Manor wedding
My first wedding of the season took me over the Surrey borders into Hampshire, to be the photographer for Lucie and Grant at Cain Manor. From the short amount of time we spent together during their engagement shoot in Guildford, I  just knew I would really enjoy photographing their wedding day…And I wasn’t wrong…They were such a kind and laid-back couple with lovely family and friends, it was such a pleasure to be a part of their day.
Because I hadn’t photographed at Cain Manor before I arrived nice an early so I could do a little recce and get some scene setting shots before Grant and the guys arrived.
Grant and Chris, ( best man) served together as Junior officers in 1-73 Cavalry, and along with the other groomsman arrived in the most striking uniforms which made for some great colourful photographs. After doing some shots with Grant, I popped up to Lucie’s room to get some bridal portraits and a few detail shots before the ceremony began.
Lucie looked amazing as she walked into the ceremony room alongside her very proud father. As she approached the front, there was  lovely moment when Grant just closed his eyes, took a calming breath in anticipation of seeing his beautiful bride and wife to be…..
After the ceremony and the congratulations, it was time for the formal groups to be photographed. But with the weather against us, I had to finish the last few setups inside, by which time the rain had stopped and the clouds had parted, which allowed me to get everyone outside for the big group shot and to spend a further 15 minutes with Lucie and Grant on some nice couple shots in and around the venue…
After the wedding breakfast and speeches, the evening guests started to arrive in time for the cutting of the cake and following straight into the first dance, and the beginning of what I’m sure was a fantastic all night party, with quite a few sore heads the next morning……..
This is the part where I usually say “here are a few of my fav’s from the day” I couldn’t only pick a few this time as there were so many, so…” here are a more than a few of my favourites from the day”.
